Hi! Hello! How are you? My name is Christen and I am so happy you have stopped by to visit. I am an almost 30 year old book worm with a passion for writing and nothing to write about. I know, it's an issue. That's why I started this blog, to start getting those creative muscles working, and hopefully turn my hobbies into something that can sustain me.
Some Background Info
I have to confess, I wasn't much of a reader as a kid. Or a writer for that matter. What changed this was a friend I had met at my cottage introducing me to Twilight. By the end of the week I had read all three books that where out at the time, and finished the fourth one within days of getting it for my birthday (It released at the perfect time). Once I started reading at around eleven I didn't stop, avidly devouring young adult series like Night World by L.J Smith, The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare, and House of Night by P.C Cast and Kristin Cast.

When not reading my current book I would be on fanfiction.net reading fanfics for whatever anime I was watching. This is where the writing hobby came in. I never got very far in the fanfictions I would write, and they always had a Mary Sue character insert, but whenever I had a chance I would pull out a note book and words would just start flowing. I would walk home from school planning out epic romances, exciting adventures and heroic battles with my friends. These never went any were though. When I was in High School I took a creative Writing course, and for some reason I don't quite understand stopped writing. I'm not sure if it took the fun out of it for me or what, but I just found I didn't have the desire to write anymore.
Where I'm At Now
Recently I've been finding I'm wanting to write again, and the immediate thought is "ok, lets start working on writing a book!" I think I've started character creation three times and lost interest and stopped. I find I'm really struggling to sit down and plan out a novel, and I'm starting to think it's not even really what I want to do. I don't want to have to plan anything. I want to sit down and just start typing, and what comes out of me comes out. Thats what I like. So then I thought, "well hey, why not start a blog and review books. One thing I already spend all my time doing, and the other the perfect type of writing experience I want. And so here I am, learning about SEO and website building and regretting that I created the domain first before checking if my name is used, and how the domain connects with the website builder, working on fixing early mistakes, while renewing my old love of writing.
